ISFAP: Bursaries 2026
ISFAP is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2026 academic year. This initiative aims to support the "missing middle" students, enabling their studies in Occupations of High Demand. The bursaries will be awarded for studies towards selected qualifications at partner institutions.
Partner Universities and Programs
- University of Pretoria: Offers various programs in engineering, computer science, data science, and more.
- University of Venda: Offers programs such as Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, Biochemistry, and Psychology.
- University of Cape Town: Offers programs in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Engineering, and Social Science.
- University of Witwatersrand: Offers programs in Engineering, Law, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences.
- More institutions including Tshwane University of Technology, Western Cape University, and others are also partnered, offering a wide range of courses.
Bursary Coverage
- Tuition costs
- Accommodation and travel if necessary
- Books, meals, and a living allowance
- Academic support, social support, life skills training, and medical support through the university
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a South African citizen
- Currently in Matric or have completed Matric
- Accepted at a listed public tertiary institution toward an approved qualification for 2026
- First-year undergraduate in the 2026 academic year
- Family household income not exceeding R600 000 per annum
- Demonstrate financial need
Applications are subject to a household means test, academic achievement evaluations, and National Benchmarking Test results where applicable.
