Triton Academy, in partnership with Plennegy, offers a 12-month National Certificate: Freight Handling Learnership designed to empower unemployed South African youth. This program provides both structured training and practical experience in the logistics industry, aimed at developing skilled professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and off-loading goods from vehicles
- Preparing vehicles for trips
- Managing freight documentation
- Performing warehouse and transport-related duties
- Handling the delivery and collection of goods
- Maintaining clean and safe workspaces
- Accurately picking and packing stock
- Receiving and verifying incoming stock
- Ensuring safe stacking and securing of goods for transport
Learning & Development:
- Theoretical training aligned with unit standards
- Practical workplace experience and mentorship
- Assessment preparation for final verification
Requirements:
- South African citizen, aged 23-35
- Matric (Grade 12) / TVET N3 / NQF Level 3 with minimum 40% in English and Mathematics
- Not currently employed or studying
- Reside in designated areas within Port Elizabeth
- Medically fit and able to work shifts
- Clear criminal record and reliable transport
