Key Responsibilities
The Quantitative Analyst will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Validate and challenge complex financial and credit risk models to ensure they are robust, fit for purpose, and aligned with regulatory requirements
- Assess model assumptions, methodologies, performance metrics, and limitations through rigorous quantitative analysis
- Review provisioning models, capital models, pricing models, and scorecard models used across the bank
- Perform detailed quantitative analysis to identify potential model risks and opportunities for improvement
- Interact with senior stakeholders across risk, finance, and business units to discuss findings and recommendations
- Provide independent, evidence-based recommendations to strengthen model accuracy and reliability
- Contribute to the enhancement of model governance frameworks and model risk management practices
- Translate complex technical and statistical concepts into clear, accessible insights for business audiences

Minimum Requirements
Experience
Candidates must possess at least three years of experience in financial modelling, quantitative analytics, or credit risk modelling, with demonstrated practical end-to-end model development experience. Additionally, applicants must have:
- Experience with one or more of the following: IFRS 9 or Provisioning Models, Credit Risk Scorecards, Pricing Models, Capital Models, or Stress Testing Models
- Strong statistical analysis and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Practical SQL experience
- Experience using Python, SAS, and/or R for quantitative analysis and modelling
Qualifications
Applicants must hold a completed degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
