The South African Reserve Bank is seeking a Manager for Data Risk and Analytics (RSD) to lead strategic and technical initiatives within the Prudential Authority. This role involves managing a team of analysts to ensure effective data risk management and reporting in the financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership in developing supervisory frameworks.
- Manage data analytics to align reports, policies, and procedures with the Prudential Authority strategy.
- Offer technical guidance and train Data Risk analysts, ensuring alignment with global and national developments.
- Oversee team deliverables, resource management, and talent development.
- Contribute to compliance with governance and risk management policies.
- Involve in special projects within the Prudential Authority.
Requirements
- Post-graduate degree in Accounting, Auditing, Banking, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Information Management, or Risk Management.
- Minimum of eight years’ relevant experience in the financial services or regulatory sector.
- Two years of experience in managing a team.
- Familiarity with DAMA certification, data-related courses, and RDARR practices is advantageous.
