Learnership Overview
The Master Bake Learnership is a 12-month development programme designed to equip aspiring bakers with practical, hands-on bakery skills within a retail environment. The programme aims to develop confident, workplace-ready bakers who are passionate about baking and eager to build a career in the retail or wholesale bakery sector.
What You Will Learn
- Produce a variety of breads, rolls, and basic baked goods
- Prepare and bake standard confectionery items
- Operate basic bakery equipment and tools safely
- Understand and apply food safety principles
- Communicate effectively within a bakery team
- Deliver good customer service within a retail bakery environment
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen aged 18–34 years
- Grade 12 or National Certificate: Hospitality Level 4
- Not currently registered for any other wholesale or retail learnership programme
- Genuine passion for baking and food preparation
- Physically fit to stand for extended periods
- Preference given to candidates residing in and around Atlantis, Western Cape
