MultiChoice: Bursaries 2025
MultiChoice is excited to announce that applications are now open for its 2025 Bursary Program, reinforcing its commitment to empowering South African students and supporting education in fields critical to the country’s future workforce. The bursary program offers students the financial support they need to unlock their potential and pursue their dreams.
Fields of Study
Bursaries will be awarded to students for studies within the following fields (at undergraduate and postgraduate level, up to NQF level 9):
- Actuarial Science
- Accounting
- STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
- Data & Information Science
- Digital Media Technology
- Film & Television, Marketing
- Filmmaking
- Finance
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Information Engineering
- Information Technology (AI & Robotics)
- Sound Engineering
Eligibility Requirements
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must be currently in Matric (in 2024) or have completed Matric.
- You must be studying or intend on studying full-time towards a degree qualification within one of the fields listed above.
- You must be a first-time undergraduate or postgraduate student (up to NQF level 9).
- You must achieve a minimum of 75% in Matric or 65% if you are a current University student.
- You must be studying or registered/intend to register to study at a recognised institute of higher learning in South Africa.
- Applicants will be considered based on academic performance and financial need, as per the MultiChoice external bursary policy.
