The Imfundo Trust is an initiative by Old Mutual Investment Group aimed at supporting students interested in the investments industry. The bursary provides funding for full-time undergraduate and selected postgraduate degree programmes at specific universities in South Africa.
Fields of Study Covered by the Bursary
- Business, Commerce, Finance, and Management Sciences / Studies (first and second year in 2027)
- Computer Science and related qualifications (first and second year in 2027)
- Data Science (first and second year in 2027)
- Climate Studies (postgraduate)
- Engineering (first and second year in 2027)
Selection Criteria
- Open to South African citizens only.
- First-year students must have at least 70% in mid-year Grade 12 exams and a minimum of 70% in Mathematics, and either 70% in English FAL or 60% in English HL.
- Applicants currently in their first year must maintain an average of 65% and above in recent exams.
- Preference for applicants from rural and township backgrounds.
