Detailed Description

The main purpose of this position is to build, maintain, and optimize Business Intelligence (BI) data pipelines that source from various data systems across the South African Reserve Bank (SARB). This role supports Data as a Service (DaaS) for the SARB.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement data service standards and frameworks to ensure optimized solutions and adherence to best practices in data operations and machine learning operations.
• Manage BI data pipelines and flows for domain-specific analytic implementations.
• Understand client data requirements to continually develop and improve data services.
• Design scalable, deployable, and modular data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance for long-term quality and availability.
• Develop new data engineering features and resolve BI data-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with security and application standards across BI data services.
• Engage with stakeholders to address data needs and provide impactful analytics solutions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Five to seven years of job-related experience within the data analysis environment.
