About the Opportunity
The Cash Monitoring Operator plays a critical role in safeguarding cash operations across Hollywoodbets' retail branch network. This position requires vigilance, adherence to protocol, and strong communication skills to ensure that all branches comply with established cash security procedures. The operator will monitor cash reconciliations during rostered shifts, enforce cash drawer threshold limits, and provide timely reports to management.
This role is ideal for individuals with experience or certification in bookmaking who are detail-oriented, professional, and able to work within a structured reporting framework. The position offers exposure to risk management processes and the opportunity to contribute to the operational integrity of a well-established gaming brand.
Key Responsibilities
The Cash Monitoring Operator will undertake a range of duties designed to maintain cash security and operational compliance across retail branches:
- Monitor cash reconciliations at Hollywoodbets retail branches during allocated rostered shifts as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
- Familiarize yourself with each branch's cash drawer threshold limits and ensure clerks exceeding their limits are stopped by blocking them on the system or following telephone protocol through the appropriate chain of command
- Ensure that Betting Clerk monies are physically transferred to the Admin Back Office safe through telephonic confirmation with the Senior Team Leader or Branch Manager on duty
- Prepare and send day-end shift reports and morning update reports as required
- Compile and submit special reports to the Risk and Operations Manager in the event of emergency cash situations at any branch
- Assist the CMD Team Leader or Risk Manager with other duties within the scope of Risk Management and Control
- Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for new recruits joining the team
- Always follow protocol and respect the chain of command without bypassing established procedures
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner consistent with standard business corporate practice
- Communicate with authority while maintaining respect and professionalism in all interactions
- Practice good email and telephone etiquette in all communications
- Submit to truth verification testing periodically or upon request by your Manager
Eligibility and Requirements
Applicants must meet the following essential criteria to be considered for this position:
- Relevant Bookmakers Clerk Certificate or equivalent experience in a similar role
