About the Opportunity

This position requires managing an assigned sport comprehensively, from pricing and market analysis to customer engagement and reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with Sports Traders and cross-functional teams to ensure that Hollywoodbets remains at the forefront of sports betting innovation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
The Junior Sports Trader will be responsible for a wide range of tasks that ensure the smooth operation and profitability of their assigned sport. Core duties include:
- Assisting Sports Traders in all departmental functions and managing the assigned sport extensively
- Conducting thorough research on teams, past results, standings, and global and local betting markets to price up sports events accurately
- Offering competitive and up-to-date betting options across all Hollywoodbets platforms
- Monitoring and adjusting betting in response to market changes or liabilities
- Analyzing profit and loss figures to ensure the sport achieves required profit margins and desired turnover increases
- Evaluating winning clients and recommending limits where necessary, reporting findings to management for final decisions
- Communicating with clients when limits or account adjustments are implemented
- Reviewing top winning tickets to verify odds, times, and accuracy
- Compiling weekly reports on the assigned sport for management, keeping them informed of all relevant matters
- Updating management on large liabilities on Turfsport or Syx
- Forecasting monthly turnover and profit figures and periodically checking progress against targets
- Confirming large bets placed in branches or with the call center
- Compiling comparisons with local bookmakers to assess market position and identify potential threats
- Updating outright betting for all tournaments
- Resulting events promptly to allow punters to receive their winnings as soon as possible
- Assisting and guiding sports agents to help them function effectively
- Requesting assistance from sports agents for event creation when needed
- Handling customer queries and complaints related to sports betting in a professional and timely manner
- Supporting other departments or branches with ticket or sports-related queries
- Collaborating with the marketing and social media departments to advertise the assigned sport, promote upcoming tournaments, highlight big wins, and push specific bet types
