Hollywoodbets is recruiting two Continuous Improvement Officers to join its operational team in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This full-time, on-site position offers an opportunity to contribute to the operational excellence of one of South Africa's leading entertainment brands by monitoring daily activities, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, and supporting business objectives through operational surveillance.
The successful candidates will play a critical role in identifying operational deviations, conducting real-time transactional monitoring, and assisting with investigations. This position is ideal for professionals with retail operations experience who are detail-oriented, adaptable to shift work, and committed to maintaining high standards of operational integrity.
About the Opportunity
As a Continuous Improvement Officer at Hollywoodbets, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on operational activities across the business. Your role will involve observing whether cash safety procedures are being followed, identifying irregularities, and supporting investigations into operational issues. You will conduct real-time transactional monitoring to detect deviations from established processes and review operational policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective and aligned with business goals.
This position requires flexibility, as the successful candidate must be able to work both day and night shifts. The role also includes managing projects through to resolution implementation, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities as a Continuous Improvement Officer will include:
- Observing and ensuring that cash safety procedures are being followed across operational sites
- Monitoring daily operational activities and reporting any deviations from standard operating procedures
- Assisting with operational investigations and compiling detailed reports on irregularities
- Conducting real-time transactional monitoring to identify potential issues or non-compliance
- Reviewing operational policies and procedures to ensure they are current and effective
- Managing projects related to operational improvements through to resolution and implementation
- Supporting the achievement of business objectives through proactive operational surveillance
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Two to three years of experience within a retail operations environment
- Ability to work day and night shifts as required by operational needs
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Additional Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualification will be considered an advantage:
- Completed or currently studying towards a related certificate, diploma, or degree in operations management, business administration, or a related field
