The successful candidate will work closely with Area Managers to achieve targets, manage a team of Mobile Clerks, coordinate marketing campaigns, and ensure operational excellence across mobile betting and Top Up Voucher distribution networks.

About the Opportunity
This leadership role focuses on achieving growth targets for mobile betting while managing and developing a high-performing team. The Team Leader (Mobile) will be responsible for financial analysis, marketing coordination, recruitment, performance management, and daily operational support. The position requires someone who can balance strategic planning with hands-on team leadership and customer engagement.
The role involves extensive collaboration with Area Managers and the Marketing Team to plan and execute promotional activities, measure their effectiveness, and conduct market research to identify opportunities for improvement. The Team Leader will also oversee the rollout and management of Top Up Voucher outlets across distributor networks.
Key Responsibilities
The Team Leader (Mobile) will be accountable for a wide range of duties across operations, team management, marketing, and financial oversight:
Growth and Financial Management
- Ensure growth targets for mobile betting are achieved
- Analyze financial information to identify trends, manage costs, and increase revenue
- Ensure proactive reporting on financial and operational performance
- Measure effectiveness of promotions using ROI analysis and the Promo Tracker tool
Marketing and Promotional Activities
- Work closely with Area Managers to meet required targets on Active and Qualified accounts
- Plan marketing campaigns with the assistance of the Area Manager and Marketing Team
- Facilitate promotional activities daily
- Ensure marketing material is available and in good condition for CSI handovers at Regional and National campaigns
- Ensure all campaigns are completed successfully and professionally
- Conduct market analysis and research to make suggestions for improvements
Team Leadership and Performance Management
- Recruitment, interviewing, and coordinating with Area Managers and Trainers for induction
- Performance and team management of Mobile Clerks, including setting daily targets
- Complete performance reviews twice a year
- Conduct day-to-day people management functions including HR, IR, and poor performance management (PIP)
- Manage team members' leave, absenteeism, and attendance
- Organize continuous training to ensure Mobile Clerks understand betting types, betting processes, mobile betting, and Top Up Vouchers
- Ensure weekly completion of all Moodle, Betstrike, and Voice note training, as well as Trainer on Wheels sessions
Operational and Administrative Duties
- Growth, branding, and rollout of Top Up Voucher outlets in all distributor networks, visiting outlets where required
- Ensure cash-ups are done following cash-up procedures with no shortages, and report all shortages to management
- Management of stock, including daily reporting on stock levels and usage
- Provide day-to-day operational support to Area Managers
- Complete daily reports
- Perform any other related duties that might be required
Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Matric certificate
- Valid Driver's License
- A minimum of 12 months in a leadership role
- Track record of over-achieving quota
- Ability to understand customer needs and handle different types of personalities
Skills and Competencies
