About the Opportunity
As Team Leader (Mobile), you will oversee mobile betting operations, manage a team of Mobile Clerks, and work closely with Area Managers to achieve sales targets related to Active and Qualified accounts. You will be responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns, facilitating daily promotional activities, and ensuring all campaigns are completed successfully and professionally.
The role combines operational leadership with strategic planning, requiring you to conduct market research, measure the effectiveness of promotions using tools such as Promo Tracker, and provide day-to-day operational support to Area Managers. You will also be responsible for recruitment, performance management, training coordination, and ensuring compliance with cash-up procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Your main duties as Team Leader (Mobile) will include:
- Collaborating with Area Managers to meet required targets on Active and Qualified accounts
- Planning marketing campaigns with assistance from the Area Manager and Marketing Team
- Facilitating promotional activities on a daily basis
- Ensuring marketing material is available and in good condition for CSI handovers at Regional and National campaigns
- Measuring the effectiveness of promotions and calculating return on investment using Promo Tracker
- Conducting market analysis and research to suggest improvements
- Recruiting, interviewing, and coordinating with Area Managers and Trainers for induction
- Managing the performance of Mobile Clerks, including setting daily targets, completing performance reviews twice a year, and handling HR/IR and poor performance management functions
- Driving growth, branding, and rollout of Top Up Voucher outlets across all distributor networks and visiting outlets when required
- Organizing continuous training to ensure Mobile Clerks understand betting types, betting processes, mobile betting, and Top Up Voucher operations
- Ensuring cash-ups are completed according to procedures, reporting all shortages to management, and maintaining accountability to prevent shortages
- Completing weekly Moodle/Betstrike training, Voice note training, and Trainer on Wheels sessions
- Providing day-to-day operational support to Area Managers
- Preparing daily reports
- Managing team members' leave, absenteeism, and attendance
- Managing stock levels and usage with daily reporting
- Performing any other related duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this Team Leader (Mobile) position, you must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 12 months in a leadership role
- A proven track record of over-achieving sales quotas
- Ability to understand customer needs and handle different types of personalities
- Strong listening, communication, presentation, and social skills
