Key Responsibilities
The Test Automation Engineer II will take ownership of quality across the credit product lifecycle. Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and execute end-to-end automated test suites that deliver real confidence to the development team before shipping
- Own comprehensive test coverage across credit product flows, from origination and account management through to behavioural and data-driven processes
- Write and maintain service stubs and mocks to enable independent testing without reliance on live systems
- Query and validate data using SQL, ensuring accurate outcomes are delivered to the correct systems and locations
- Track, report, and communicate test results clearly, surfacing risks early to enable timely team action
- Support and mentor less experienced engineers as the team continues to grow, sharing knowledge and best practices
Qualifications and Requirements

- Grade 12 National Certificate
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in test automation
Technical Skills Required

- Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js for test automation (primary language)
- SQL fundamentals, including experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server
- Familiarity with test management, quality assurance practices, reporting, and defect tracking
- Understanding of software development lifecycles, APIs, and system integration concepts
- Ability to analyse, interpret, and validate system behaviour beyond simply running scripts
Advantageous Experience
- Service stubbing and mocking using Node.js
